From September to November 2024 Pirson Refractories has installed the new refractories at Salzgitter Flachstahl.
Works consisted of:
- Complete new furnace lining: Hearth, Bosh, Belly, stack and Throat Armour
- Complete mixing chamber
- T-junction of the Hot Blast Main
- Partial repair of the Hot Blast Bustle main
- Refractories in complete runner system
